Rick & Sherry Owens, missionaries in Mexico, have been building churches throughout the regions, for over 20 years. In Mexico, the church has been strong, but meeting in homes, doesn’t give the church a presence in the community. Mexico is predominately Catholic and if you do not have a “building,” you have no standing with your government or in your community. After the help of the congregations in the States and the work of their hands, there have been around 150 churches that have been built throughout Mexico. Every spring and summer, you will see youth groups and adults throughout Mexico, working alongside the Mexican brethren helping them to have something that they can worship in and be proud of. Our congregation has been a part of this work for the last eight years. This is one of the best trips our youth will take all year, for in serving their brethren in Mexico, they learn about real selfless giving!

Alex Gear is our missionary in Scotland. Alex and his wife Gillian work tirelessly in the effort at East Kilbride, Scotland. Alex was able to study at Heritage Christian several years back, where he and Gillian earned degrees. While at Heritage, Alex and Gillian and their children worshipped and worked with our congregation at Petersville. They all endeared our hearts. Long lasting love, respect, and friendships were formed with the Gears while they worked with the congregation at Petersville. Alex and Gillian has been back in Scotland working, preaching and teaching for the last 10 years, and has since formed another congregation in another area of town. This congregation has shown growth, since the beginning. Please continue to pray for the efforts in Scotland. If you would like more information, or would like to help with this effort, please contact…

| Chris duPreez and his family first came to us while he was in the states studying at Heritage Christian University. He worked with our congregation, while obtaining his Bible degree doing personal evangelism. Chris has a heart for this work. After obtaining his degree at HCU, Chris and his family went back home to South Africa, where he now works tirelessly. Chris has been involved in the Preachers Training School in South Africa. He also has been instrumental in planting churches, all over the region. Chris and his wife Jillian and their children have traveled to many areas helping to conduct and organize gospel meetings and campaigns. The people in South Africa are hungry for God’s word and they will travel many miles and come in large numbers to hear the gospel being preached. Many have come to know the Lord and went on to teach and preach from some of the organizing efforts of Chris du Preez. Please continue to pray for the duPreez family and the work going on in South Africa. |

Petersville has a World Bible School program. This is an in-house program where we send Bible courses overseas to students wishing to receive Bible knowledge and instruction. Some of the areas these courses are being sent to are, Zimbabwe, Africa, Philippines, etc. We have a class that meets each Wednesday to get these courses out to the world. Anyone wishing to help with this is not limited to the Wednesday class. You can work on your own as well, around your time frame. This has been a wonderful outreach throughout the brotherhood. If you would like to know more about World Bible School, please contact WorldBibleSchool.com
